Cake:
4 eggs
⅓ Cup cocoa powder
⅔ Cup maida (flour)
½ cup oil (refined)
1 ¾ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon soda bicarbonate
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Chocolate Icing:
150 grams (¾ cup) white butter (cooking butter) – softened
1 cup icing sugar – sifted
½ cup cocoa approximately
½ teaspoon brandy essence or 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Icing for the Top:
½ cup icing sugar –sieved
¼ cup butter or margarine – softened
80 grams bitter chocolate (2 slabs of 40 grams each) – Nestle, Amul, Bournville
¼ cup water
