This is a very popular recipe among all the different chocolate fondues. It is quick, rich and a perfect romantic dessert.
Required Ingredients:
· 1 cup of fresh cream (heavy)
· 12 oz semi sweetened dark chocolate (chopped, broken)
· 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence*
· 2 to 3 teaspoons of Rum, brandy or your favorite liquor. |

· To begin with heat up the cream in a pan. This should be done on a medium flame until the cream is hot. Heat the cream for about 3 minutes and not more.
· Once the cream is nice and hot, quickly add 12 oz of semi sweetened chocolate into it.
· Keep stirring the lovely cream and chocolate mixture till it has blended well together and started to melt.
· Don’t allow any lumps to form keep the mixture smooth.
· While blending the mixture stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence.
· Fold the mixture into a pre heated warm fondue pot (ceramic)
Serving:
· This beautiful velvety chocolate fondue does not need much to compliment its flavor, but by adding some fresh strawberries while serving, would definitely bring about a romantic side of the fondue.
· Apart from strawberries, sliced bananas, vanilla cake (cubed), red juicy apples, almonds or nuts could be used to decorate the chocolate fondue while serving.
*Substitutes:
This substitute would differ and depend on individual taste buds. As a substitute to 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 2 or 3 teaspoons of brandy, rum or your favorite liquor could be added.
This recipe serves 6 to 8 persons. |
