o Mix together 1 cup butter and 1 ½ cups of sugar. Blend the mixture extremely well.
o The mixture should have no lumps or bubbles in it. It has to be smooth as silk, blend the sugar and water mixture till fluffy. The appearance should be a dull yellow color.
o Add to this mixture 4 oz of unsweetened crispy chocolate and 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence.
o With the help of an electric mixer (not an egg beater), fluff up 4 eggs not very fast use a medium speed to blend the eggs.
o Gradually add one egg after the other; this would help to fluff the eggs well. The entire process of blending the eggs should take about3 to 5 minutes.
o Pour the entire mixture in a shell pie and keep aside.
o Let the mixture set (chilled) for hours together.
o Decorate the mousse with whipped cream.
o Grated chocolate, melted chocolate could also be used to decorate this mousse while serving. (Children love to be messy when it comes to eating their favorite chocolate.)
o To add to the fun of making this delicious chocolate mousse, allow children to do the dressing. |
