Melt the unsweetened chocolate and butter in a pan on top of the steam of boiling water. Using a double boiler would be preferable.
Beat the eggs, butter, white and brown sugar in a bowl with an electric mixer. Mix until thickened homogenous mixture.
In another bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt. Slowly incorporate this mixture into the other bowl while stirring. Use the electric mixer to blend this all together but do not overdo. Add the walnuts, chocolate squares and chopped chunks and stir.
Place dough at least 2 inches apart on an un-greased cookie sheet. 1/4 cup is the suggested dough sizes. Put in refrigerator for about one hour.
Put in a 300°F oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Once ready, let the cookies cool down for at least 2 minutes before removing fro the sheet.
Should make about 12 cookies. |
