Preheat Oven to 350 degree. In a large bowl, whip butter, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy. Leave aside. In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Add to the first bowl. Stir well while adding the oatmeal flakes and chocolate chips. On an non-sticky cookie pan, add dough (2 tb.sp. at a time) at 2 inches from one another.
Place dough on oven sheet at least two inches apart . Bake for 15 minutes or until the dough has slightly browned or goldened. Take out from oven and let cool for at least two to five minutes so that they are not melting hot before serving.
